“There’s something about giving melody to your soul’s thoughts that nothing can beat”

Every time I sing it just clarifies where I want to be. I love where my music can take other people – at that moment my words feel so much more powerful

I started singing properly around the age of 13. I recorded a few covers in a studio and that was where my love for music grew and as did my confidence. I then co-wrote my first song aged 13. I’ve been addicted to music, especially lyric writing, ever since. There’s something about giving melody to your soul’s thoughts that nothing can beat.

I always start with lyrics. Lyrics and melodies come to me really quickly. Sometimes a song begins with pages of thoughts and other times it just starts with a word. I love writing music through code, metaphors are used throughout my writing. I also love using words that create an image. I think often lyrics that paint a picture within the mind are the ones that resonate with the listener.

There have honestly been so many performances I have enjoyed. I couldn’t pick an ultimate favourite. Every time I sing it just clarifies where I want to be. I love where my music can take other people – at that moment my words feel so much more powerful.
