“I remember being approached afterwards and being told how ‘different’ my guitar playing is. I took it as a compliment”

“Being given my first electric guitar was genuinely such an electrifying feeling. I remember straight away tuning to drop C and popping my high E string!”

I remember exploring music a bit more until I found Black Veil Brides and I listened to their ‘We Stitch These Wounds’ album and there was a lot of stuff guitar wise there that inspired me. Being given my first electric guitar was genuinely such an electrifying feeling. I remember straight away tuning to drop C and popping my high E string!

Usually, it starts with an idea (riff, chord progression, etc.) I’ll have whilst playing idly on an acoustic. From there I’ll chuck in a few lyrics and try to polish it a bit and then I’ll hand it off to the band where we all work on it a bit. Probably the first time we played ‘bleed’ live. I remember hitting the first few notes and it just being this wildly different feeling from anything else I’ve experienced. I remember being approached afterward and being told how ‘different’ my guitar playing is. I took it as a compliment.
